NaNoWriMo 2015: Piggy & the Butcher. Chapter One.

It's that time of year again, so let's get started! Here's most of the first day 3's writing, at least the parts that compose chapter one.

Note: there's a bit of a oddity from rewriting a part completely, so this will probably get reposted (or I'll edit this most likely) when I fix it. That and I have to add more descriptions and stuff. But that's the fun of NaNo I guess.

So yesterday was Back to the Future Day...

... not that this has ANYTHING to do with Back to the Future II, cause it totally doesn't, but I really wanted to do some nice li'l snazzy picture. Like I'm sure everyone else. Buuuuut, kinda never got to it, and was counting down and jus didn't happen.

If you visited regularly, and had an excellent memory, you might remember some of these snes inspired Faris styled enemies. The rest are new versions or what not (now with more palette swaps!) As to what they're for - that's a surprise~

New Brawler (guest appearance by a cut enemy, the martial artist)

New Monk, as you can see the Monk & Brawler's old versions (and martial artist too) were palette swaps.

Top leftish area you'll see the original mook (purple thing), and the previous version of the mook princess (pink thing), next to it a bit of pixel art based on the cyclops & mook princess, then the (evil) cyclops and the (friendly) cyclops in the singlet... to the right is the in-works of the princess, to the bototm left the in-works of the cyclops, and the bottom right how they'll look in game.

So I found one enemy who was still a palette swap- so... no more him! Time to remake him!

 A big dump of some Faris Adventure battlers.
First row: New Byleist (common enemy), Mazuzula the Demon (unique boss)
Second row: Imp Ally (buyable)
Third: Old Wizard / New Wizard (possibly might not use), Vauda (Essence), Untitled (ally)

Kay, hopefully that aligned correctly.

Why do I keep typing shmup as schmup?!!

The red boxed ones are the (completed) player characters, simply there for comparison.
The small ships that look like mini versions of the larger ones (err, obviously not meaning the double zoomed ones off to the side) are the original enemies from before I resized the thing and it got bigger.

Winky Dog Stuff

I'm drunk and jesus do I sprite fast when I'm drunk. So here's something I made in like 15 minutes, and have no idea if it's good or not. Two of the old school looking sprites are old, rest is new, including the retro versions of teh bee, the dog with the handkerchief and everything else.

More SCHMUP Monsters

 

The Kourigan set (top dragon headed things) have the old versions in there as well (the tiny brighter ones) and the original fireballs (again the smaller ones.) There will be more fireball frames, I lost the other 3 frames by accident :(
